Meyrick Lodge is a modern, residential home, situated in the leafy residential area of Meyrick Park. With six ensuite rooms, care and support is offered in a family orientated environment. We offer a tailored individual, holistic service to people requiring support, young adults with learning disabilities. Taking into account their wishes and needs, whilst considering the wishes of the family and other interested parties. We also recognise and support them with their own skills and abilities, by giving them opportunities to develop more skills and assist them to achieve their own personal goals and aims.
The home is situated in a fabulous location so the people requiring support can access all that the local area has to offer, being a short walk from the local shops in Winton and other local amenities. Bournemouth town centre can also be easily accessed with a short walk through Meyrick Park. The park also offers great opportunities for sports such as football and cycling. The house also has an extensive outside area for outside activities such as BBQ’s and an area to grow fruit and vegetables. All the people requiring support are actively encouraged to take an active role in the day to day planning of activities and social events within the home, and various trips into the community for instance to the local cinema or bowling. Daily living skills are also a key area of development for each of the services users, so everyone has the opportunity at least once a week to cook, and on a daily basis undertaking tasks within the home with support. Everyone is encouraged to be as active as they want to be within the local community, with lots of opportunities available to access the bustling seaside location. The whole team at the home is dedicated to assiting the people requiring support to do the things they love.
