Developing Lives Services are committed to creating vibrant homes that promote inclusion and wellbeing. We combine enabling support with a vibrant home life, and lots of opportunities for everyone to enjoy a full life. This means lots of activities are available within and outside the settings. These are activities that are meaningful to each person receiving support.
Being based just on the edge of Meyrick Park we have great opportunities to access the park and are a short walk away from Bournemouth town centre. Many people enjoy accessing with support the local leisure centre to swim and use the other facilities available.
Trips are organised to go bowling or to the local area for meals or a drink. Within the homes people can choose the activities they wish to undertake, which could vary from baking to karaoke. We also have a fun and interactive weekly music session and lots of arts and crafts and sports.
Everyone is encouraged to make possible decisions about how they would like to spend their time. Some people take on voluntary opportunities within the community such as working in a charity shop or a catering or gardening placement.
